Allentown Presbyterian Church
Allentown, Upper Freehold Township, Monmouth County

I would have photographed
the fine entrance portico
but there was a van parked
in front on the first two days
I visited the church, but on the third try I got the view of the 1837
brick building that I wanted. The church was enlarged in 1858, which
is probably when the portico and rear projection (I hesitate to call
it a chancel, because I was not able to examine the interior) was added.
It has a great setting on a bluff above the river, with the commercial
section of town to its back.
