Allentown Baptist Church
Allentown, Upper Freehold Township, Monmouth County
This fine building now serves as Allentown's library, but it was the
Baptist church when it was built in 1879. There is an eclectic mix of
elements from different periods here, but they work. The pilasters are
Greek Revival, the belfry is characteristic of early Gothic, and the
round arch windows are Romanesque.
