Bordentown Baptist Church
Bordentown, Burlington County

The Baptists arrived in Bordentown in 1751, only a decade after its
settlement by Quakers, but the town's name comes from the man, surely
a Baptist himself, who sold two parcels of land where the church now
stands to a group of people acting on behalf of a "Christian Congregations
who are Baptized by Immersion. . ." This large red brick building,
the fifth on the site, was erected in 1893.
