Berean Baptist
Tabernacle
Bridgeton, Cumberland County
In 1894
this fine building was erected. It was designed by architect Frank
R. Watson, who
also designed the Centenary Methodist
church in Camden.
Towers and gables and surface textures were especially
popular during this decade, and Baptist congregations from Newark and Hoboken
to the Jersey shore were
early
to
adopt
many
of the stylish architectural plans then in vogue.
