Bethlehem African Methodist Episcopal Church
Burlington, Burlington County

Founded in 1830, the A.M.E. congregation erected this substantial building a couple of blocks from the center of town in 1836. It has obviously been remodeled substantially, but it remains one of the few early AME churches built in the prevailing idiom of the mainstream Protestant churches of the time.
