Prospect
Street Baptist Church
East Orange, Essex County

Today
this is known as the New Hope Baptist Church but when it was built in 1895,
at the intersection of Prospect and Norman, it was called the Prospect Street
Baptist
Church. The congregation was formally organized in the previous year.
The steep pitch to the roofs of the tower and the
nave and the distinctive arcading near the top of the tower are distinctive.
Nice condition.
