St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church
High Bridge, Hunterdon County

founded 1879; built 1898
An unusual combination of pinnacles and buttresses gives this modest
church a vertical style reminiscent of much large Gothic cathedrals
in France. It was built on site of the original Methodist church and,
in fact, used that church for services until it burned down in 189__.
