First Methodist Church
Hightstown, Mercer County

The Methodist church in Hightstown is a fairly conventional late 19th
century stone Gothic building. What caught my eye was the rear of the
church, where some photographically-interesting things were happening
in the late afternoon light. I will eventually produce a reasonable
image of the front of the church, which was erected in 1898. The congregation
was organized in 1786, which makes it one of the earlier Methodist congregations
in the state.
