Saint Matthaus Deutsche Evangelische Lutherische Kirke
Hoboken, Hudson County

Saint Matthew's was founded in 1858 when it was located at 9th and
Bloomfield. The congregation moved uptown in 1877 when it erected this
fine Gothic Revival church. From its location on Hudson Street, nears
Stevens, it was clearly one of the establishment churches of the city.
