Trinity Church
Hoboken, Hudson County

Trinity Church, founded in 1853, was built in 1856 to a design by Richard
Upjohn. The wide aisles flanking the nave can be seen in Grace Church
in Newark, another of Upjohn's designs, although this building has a
simple bellcote instead of Grace's tower and spire. The hammerbeam construction
of the roof supports, a hallmark of the English Gothic, is worth a detour
if you are in the vicinity.
