Hope
Christian Church
Hope, Warren County

Hope has four early churches, three of them built of stone. The Christian
church was erected in 1844 on the site of the old Moravian Tavern. The
congregation was organized in 1841 in a village founded by the Moravians
and that had long had an Episcopal church and was soon to get Presbyterian
and Methodist churches. The building is now used as the Community Center.
