All Saints Episcopal Church
Lakewood, Ocean County

There are not many Episcopal churches in Ocean County, but all are
a bit unusual and quite interesting. This congregation was organized
in 1865 and the church was erected about 1884. It has the altar oriented
to the east, the articulated chancel separated from the nave by a transept,
the south porch entrance and many other elements of a liturgically-correct
Episcopal church as laid down thirty years earlier by Bishop Doane.
