Seventh
Day Baptist Church
near Marlboro, Cumberland County

The Seventh
Day Baptist congregation in the area was organized about 1737 by
a group who split off from the main group of Baptist settlers in
the Cohansey area. The major body wound up in Shiloh, a few miles
away, but in 1811 one
group
settled west of town. This red frame church sits on a solid stone
foundation,
which was constructed in 1854. The congregation met there until the
upper part of the church was finished in 1861. The church is located
on Route
624.
