First Baptist Church
Matawan, Monmouth County

    

It is most unfortunate that the congregation decided to preserve this fine old building with aluminum siding, as many of the details that give an adjacent contemporaneous home its distinction have been lost. The church was built in 1860, ten years after it was organized.
