Methodist Episcopal
Church
Mauricetown, Cumberland County

The Methodist
society was organized about 1837 and this building was erected in
that year. In 1880 when the congregation erected a new and larger
church, this building was sold and moved. The accentuated pediment
and brackets
are the product of a later renovation. It served for a time as the
Town Hall.
