Union
Sunday School
Mizpah, Atlantic County

On Route 40 near Mizpah you will find this small wooden frame building
erected as a Sunday School in 1894. Many congregations got their start
with an initial Sunday School and occasional Protestant non-denominational
services by a visiting preacher, and finally a regular congregation.
Many were designated as "union" churches because they were comprised
of members belowing to two or three or more denominations. It is now
occupied by the
Jesus Life Services congregation.
