St.
John the Baptist Cathedral
Paterson, Passaic County

A cathedral is a substantial building, the seat of a bishop, and certainly
St. John's is no exception. The architect was
Patrick Keeley, who designed several
of
the most interesting Catholic churches in the state—indeed, Keeley
was the principal architect for the Catholic church on the East Coast
for
a decade or two.
