Rancocas Friends
Rancocas, Burlington County

This fine meetinghouse was constructed in 1772, the year the Society
was organized. Next door is an early schoolhouse, beautifully restored,
of approximately the same vintage. The year 1772 can be seen in glazed
brick in the gable end of the building. The building was used by both
branches of the Quakers, following the schism in 1826.
