Spring Valley Christian Church
Spring Valley, Hardwick Township, Warren County
A
hamlet grew up in the 1840s, apparently around a mill and then this Christian
church. The congregation flourished for about 35 years;
the last service was a funeral in the 1870s.
The building probably looked much like the Christian
churches in Johnsonburg and Little
York (Hunterdon County). The
stone
walls
of
the
stucco-over-stone building have been stabilized, a
credit
to the
Hardwick
Township Historical
Society responsible for it. Listed on the National Register of Historic
Places.
