Bethany Presbyterian church
Trenton, Mercer County
Bethany Presbyterian is one of more than a dozen Presbyterian churches
in the city built in the 19th century. It is located on Hamilton Avenue
at Chestnut, property the organizers purchased sometime after 1886.
The congregation met in a public school until this late Gothic Revival
building was erected and dedicated in 1888. The architect was William A. Poland,
