Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church
Trenton, Mercer County

Now the Friendship Baptist church on Perry Street, Trinity was founded
in 1865 as the result of a split over slavery among members of the Front
Street Methodist Episcopal church. This building was erected in 1869.
An interesting urban adaptation of a meetinghouse plan with Romanesque
Revival details (the arcading under the cornice and the rounded arches
as a repeating theme), it was renovated in 1920.
