Mt Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church
Trenton, Mercer County

Mt. Zion was one of the earliest AME congregations to be organized, in 1817. It probably has a remarkable history, although largely undocumented as far as I have been able to discover. This large church was erected in 1876; it has a new front, but the sides and rear of the building look in original condition.
