Waterloo
Methodist Episcopal Church
Waterloo Village State Park, Sussex County
It is very fitting that Waterlo Village should
have one of the most authentic of the early wood frame churches, as many more
visitors will see it than if it has been situated elsewhere in the county.
The round-top windows with their appropriately
shaped shutters are among the more distinctive elements; compare the window-shutter
treatments with the Presbyterian
Church in Stillwater, built almost 30 years earlier.
