Wrightstown
Methodist Episcopal Church
Wrightstown, Burlington County
When
I visited this church in the late 1990s the owner was working on
the renovation as a residence. The congregation was organized in
1795 and the building, the second for the churhch, erected in 1836.
I suspect the entry vestibule is a later addition, but in the dimensions
and
scale
of
the building
one can see a large church that was fairly representative of what
might be erected by an aspiring Methodist congregation in that period.
