We've created a database and photographic inventory of more than half the 18th & 19th century churches in the state and add to it each month. We welcome and solicit corrections, contributions and suggestions from our visitors.

Churches in boldface are either listed on the National Register of Historic Places or are otherwise of special interest. The Sect is the denomination of the founding congregation, not the present occupant. We have also used the name of the church when this building was erected, not the current name. The blank fields mean we have no solid data.

The list is not necessarily complete unless that is specifically noted.
